If you are running Outlook through Microsoft Exchange – common in business environments and rare for personal or home e-mail – you do not need to set a password for your Outlook data. But if you need to protect more important and sensitive files on computer, using third party software such as Kakasoft Folder Protector will be more secure. Password protect folders on hard drives in addition to USB flash drives, thumb drives, memory sticks, external hard drives, memory cards, jump drives and pen drives etc. Once the password is set, the folder will ask for the password every time it is opened. What we do not understand is that this lets others get access to your privacy which can be either accidentally deleted by friends or family, or even manipulated by someone else.
